The excellent Cesar J. Rosado... though, is the show’s secret weapon. In a restrained and beautifully calibrated performance, he glows with the kind of magnetic assurance that makes an audience lean in.
— New York Times (NYLON)
The most delicate performance comes from Mr. Rosado, whether Danilo is exulting over a sonogram of his unborn child or raging at Xiomara.
— New York Times (Dolphins and Sharks)
John (the superb Cesar J. Rosado) melts around the proscenium edge and is suddenly there.
— TimeOut Magazine (PLANO)
No doubt the actors are working very hard to conjure these instant emotional crescendos. Rosado comes the closest with a monologue delivered to Mario’s invisible son about painstakingly tending a citrus tree, only to never taste its fruit. It’s a blunt metaphor, but the emotion behind it feels real.
— TheaterMania (The Things That Were There)
Cesar was charming AF in last year’s Dolphins & Sharks and then went on to star in Two River Theater’s super fun-looking El Coqui Espectacular and the Bottle of Doom. He’s constantly booking readings of new plays all over the country, so prepare to see him show you what’s uppppp on a stage near you soon in the next great American play.
