Getting to know me…

As a performer, I have profound faith in storytelling as a radical form of change. As a passionate educator, program developer, and advocate for social justice, I have over seven years of experience teaching, mentoring, and supporting incarcerated and court-involved youth across all of NYC. My work focuses on using theater and improv to foster communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills, empowering underserved communities to find their voices and thrive. I collaborate with nonprofits, government agencies, and legal professionals to develop programs that reduce recidivism, and promote restorative justice.

Last year, the Pulitzer finalist podcast “Ear Hustle”, partnered with Drama Club. They joined me, shadowing multiple theater classes inside of Crossroads Juvenile Facility in Brownsville. In the series they interview DC staff and some of the incarcerated students DC serves. The first episode of the series is out! Check it out and stay tuned for others.

PBS and Spark4Change from Michigan State Universities College of Social Sciences join Drama Club for a look into the organizations programming inside and out of Rikers Island. These conversations, hopefully, advocate for rehabilitative programming to be recognized as an absolute necessity towards driving systemic change.
